The Basil Cento Tech Fiber Nordlicht MIK in black is the next generation in bicycle baskets, crafted from a unique combination of materials: lightweight aluminium and Textonile. Textonile is a woven fabric that you might know from modern outdoor furniture. What's special about this material is that it makes the basket weatherproof, dimensionally stable and colourfast.
The bottom of the basket has an extra cover mat and a strap with click closure to secure your valuables. While cycling, you can lock your handbag or laptop bag in the basket. It's very secure! For your safety on your bike, the basket also has an integrated LED strip*. This helps you stand out better in the dark. The LED lighting is powered by 2x AAA batteries (sold separately).
With a simple click, you can easily attach the basket to the luggage carrier thanks to the pre-mounted MIK Adapter Plate 2.0 (70173) or the MIK Carrier Plate (70170).Would you like to bring the basket along to the office or the store? Or do you want to switch between bike accessories, such as a child bike seat? You can effortlessly detach your bike accessories from the luggage carrier as well. The MIK Adapter Plate 2.0 leaves enough space on the luggage carrier for hook-on bags (bike bags with hook attachments). This way, you can easily combine your MIK system bike accessories with a bike bag.
