Na 3 jaar gebruik knapt de ophangbeugel spontaan af waardoor schade aan de fiets is ontstaan. Helaas zegt het bedrijf dat de tassen te oud (!) zijn. Beste Henk, we vinden het vervelend dat u problemen heeft met de ophangbeugel van de tas. We hebben bij Basil vele losse onderdelen beschikbaar waarmee we u wellicht kunnen helpen. Terrible design and material. Already when installing it, I predicted the back was going to rub against several parts of the rack/bike, so I added some soft padding. Even like that, I had to repair a hole and add more padding only 4 months after using it. The worst thing, after 6 months the bottom started to break, and not because of rubbing, but in the exterior side. Both the main and outer storage spaces are now exposed and I had to add a net to avoid all the bottom to bread totally. I was lucky I did not lose anything valuable. All I transported was a bag with small tools and a small bandolier not heavier than 1 kg (I correctly infered that I should carry items in a bag to avoid scratching the interior, not very sturdy on first sight), occasionally a well-folded raincoat. Unfortunately, after only a few days of use, the bag has rubbed through and now has a hole in the bottom. You can check the image here https://ibb.co/d0RYVTn or here https://ibb.co/YTQB66N In my opinion it is due to a poor quality of the material used or a design glitch that allows the interior floor of the bag to rub-through the thin fabric - exactly where the bag touches the bicycle rack. The best rear bag I have ever used. So far I have used it for 4 months during long bike trips. The bag is really spacious. The design is well-thought. 2 side pockets have the right size to keep there even larger bottle (up to 1L). I love the zip pocket in the lid. It allows for an easy access to the most-frequently needed items during the trip. Shoulder strap system is OK as well as Hook-on system. Drawstring system for the main pocket comes in really handy and allows to close the bag much faster then other systems (such as the one in Basil Miles series). I did not test the bag on a long trips during raining but after a short ride even in heavy rain the inside of the bag stays dry.
